Ronald McDonald House Atlantic

Ronald McDonald House provides a “home-away-from-home” for out-of-town families with sick children, across the street from the medical care they need. The new 40,000 square foot Ronald McDonald House will double the capacity of the existing house with 36 private family suites, a dynamic shared communal kitchen and dining area, a protected, South-facing outdoor eating and play area, and common areas for socializing, playing, and contemplating, arts and crafts, group programming, fitness, and games.  The centre also houses a state of the art sensory room, a “magic room” celebrating the completion of kids’ stays, and a place for parents to do remote work, as well as required service areas and administrative spaces. This project was completed in association with Montgomery Sisam Architects.
